Measurable Results

READ Works! READ students achieve an average of one full grade level improvement in reading. Reading gains have improved as READ has grown dramatically, from 37 students in 2000 to 1,351 children in 2008.

READ Works! More than 4,600 teens have developed college,
career, and life skills as tutors to their younger peers.

READ has diversified and grown its funding base from $110,000
in 2000 to more than $2 million in 2008.
